It´s an ordinary song for an ordinary day,
now there is nothing but space in her chair,
overlooking the fields into the air,

she was lazy and strange and difficult to read
and it never got any easier, only more extreme,
and you´re hoping to keep going,
and it will pay off somehow.

You´ve given up keeping time
because time´s not for keeping,
you left it at the bottom of the river,
or the bottom of a pocket
in last years winter jacket,

half songs, half promised, half finished,
all alive,

and you can´t wait until tomorrow
when you will be a better man, in a better place, in a better world
and sometimes you think its true.


The sky reaches all the way to the ground
and you carry the emptiness with you,
the emptiness of her,
only that i am and it is, that it is!
and silence accompanies the noise,
we make piles of poetry with hydrolic machines,
history crease the land
and oxidises in lungs and rooftops,
we ride buses now and share fruit,
the stars have changed no-one,
no-one at all,


and you can´t wait until tomorrow

but its been tomorrow all day.

Come to me with eyes wide open,
you come to me silently ,
you come to me sparking in the night
like a fire worm or a fire fly,
you come to me open and alone,
you come to just as you are,

and we listen for life amongst the dead
crouched by the window hands over your head,
and we are all that´s left of the dead,
we are their heaven and their hell,
we are their final resting place,


and in the end my thoughts are unclear,
and its just the rain on the window
and in the grasses, people rushing past, the sound of the fountain,
traffic and the longing, walking in this park beside the station
before the train goes.
